I have to agree.
Same experience I had with them although I currently use more aggressive tyre, the Shinkos are very good.

Re: Shinko 804 and 805 Adventure Tyre Review
Ive currently got a 705 on the rear and a 804 on the front of my 1200GS. Most of my dirt riding is on pea sized gravel roads here in SA and im looking for something more confidence inspiring. The front seems OK and am considering a 805 for the rear but the reports of lack of grip round corners concerns me a bit. Ive seen where ppl have cut some grooves down the center of the blocks to fix this. Any thoughts?

Thanx, ill give one a try. Ill be due for a pair in a lil while so will give a report once they are on.
The 804 on the front seems to be a great all round tyre, a lot better on the road than I thought it would be.
Yep its a good place for pics, the back of the Adelaide Hills looking west out over the River Land.
This is what a lot of our roads are like. Lots of marbles.
