Finally got a set of racks to use Expedition Dry saddle bags.

These should work out ok I think. They are reasonably well tucked in and dont stick out too far and nearly symmetrical.

Reclaimed all that real estate now so plenty of room for Nomad tank if needed and 500k + range.

Anybody want to go away for a couple days  :-\

Looking awesome CB
I was thinking of changing my racks to similar as they are what I had on the 640.
But in two mind still as I have the KTM PP racks which are very strong (tested) and heavy.
Yes it brings the bags forward and in a bit but also up,
I have mounted a Rotopax 7lt tank on the left hand rack so it is low where it looks like you'll be mounting your fuel on the rear top rack don't this bring the weight up high where I put my swag on the rear as this is the lightest thing I have and it fit perfect on the KTM PP rack.
Yes fuel could be emptied in to the tank quickly.
There is so much for and against every setup.
I suppose what works for each individual

Sorry just starting a discussion on this to get ideas and experiences in counted

Is that a E-09 or E-10 your running?

Thanks CB, ride yes when? I'm doing a road trip to Brisbane in Jan and planing a 9 day trip out to the desert to just explore if your interested in starting to plan for it, have a 690 and a 640 already locked in for it so your welcome to join.

Thats an E10 on the front. Only goy a few k's on it so cant really say what its like.
I wanted the Scorpion Rally for the front but tubeless is not available.
E09 front is not made in tubeless either.
I really dont want to, but may end up going to a tube in the front if I cant find a tyre I like.

I have the E-09 on the front and use a tube as I have a complete set of extra wheels and the rim is too thin for Woody's Wheels to make tubeless where the back is so I only carry one tube to the bush now.
I will try the E-10 on the front next time not that I not like the E-09 but I don't think it'll last and so I'm better inform to make a recommendation.
Just put my steering stabiliser from MSC the Rally-Moto nice kit fitted it in under an hour great quality haven't had a change to test it yet but the old one felt like it didn't do much at all, the heavy oil others are doing would improve it I'm sure but this kit was much cheaper and it's Australian made, I was looking at the Ohlins one but that was nearly $1400 by the time I got it here where I got one for the 1190, the 500 and a mate's 690 for that, so good enough for me and really I'm not that good to know the difference

I just want to ride them.

Common complaint is the speedo is about 10% out on the 1190.
Not an unusual thing these days as most vehicles have a 5-10% error built in intentionally.

Got a couple ABS rings that have been water jet cut with 3 less slots

Primed, painted and fitted

Speedo is now withing 2% with new front tyre and will become more accurate as the tyre wears.
The odometer is reading 3% under and the fuel consumption figures are now a lot more accurate.
