Here you go the high fender with TT bars
Think I'll trim the fork protectors a little more to get the lines right
When I pull it off next I'll lighten the alloy block a bit more or even look at making it out a hard plastic - still thinking on it

Good thing is it will still allow the fitting of the 6" light bar in there to complement the Cyclops kit

After 3 days away and a little damage sustained a couple things needed doing.

Firstly, it looks like the tyre has hit the inner guard when bottomed out.

Image

and the tyre is close to worn out

Image

But.....in all fairness, when I changed over to a 45 tooth rear sprocket, I had to move the wheel about as far forward as it can go to get enough chain slack.

Image

I think its just a little too far so the 42 tooth will go back on and the wheel can move back about 10-15mm which should help clear everything.

Ill re visit the 45 when its due for a new and longer chain etc

Image

Im still not pleased that it doesnt have enough clearance but hopefully this should help.

While the wheels are off, I repaired the buckled front rim as best as I could and its barely noticeable now and cant be seen unless you look for it.

And Friday should see a new set of tyres mounted up if they arrive.
Unfortunately the choice for tubeless is very limited so I had to settle for Mitas E10's for this time around.
They have a much tougher carcass then the TKC's so that should help.

AND............since I seem to be prone to flats every bloody big ride,     :warning:      I fitted a dedicated power socket for the pump!

Another thing was the pillion luggage plate, its a pain as its so steep and slippery so I had to glue a sheet of rubber onto it.

Thought about going to a 140/80 or 150/70 tyre for extra clearance?

Standard size is 150-70.
140-80 is bigger diameter and not available in tubeless that I know of.

Front is rooted with the two plugs, I know lots of people would use it but one front end blowout this month is enough

Image

The rear Ill get another 500-1000 k's out of.
Ive ordered both but will only fit the front one for now :thumb:

See if these E10's fare any better..............couldnt be worse that TKC's :eh:
Not really bad as such, just way to soft and fragile in the sidewalls, much more like a road tyre construction.
Choices seem very limited :(
Doesnt look like Ill be getting my hands on any Scorpion Rally tubeless for a while :ne_nau:

So, 3500 klms later, 1 massive pothole, 1 buckled front rim, 1 blown rear shock, big front end blowout and 1 trashed front tyre, 1 leaking fork seal.....

Buckled rim fixed, front tyre replaced, shock re-gassed, did the feeler gauge under the fork seal trick and that looks fine and were all good to go

Whats next
