Hi Marc,the engine feels the same as the adv,the bike feels a bit more nimble (if thats possible on a bike this size).Very enjoyable bike to ride,carry lots of weight/momentem these bikes same as the adv....as always with any bike treat the "go grip "with respect.

Question for marc/big al etc,with running a uni pre filter/mufflers etc when you re jetted the bike have you got a record of what jets etc you used?,the se crackles/backfires etc when chopping the throttle,i checked the jetting and all needle/mains etc are std so my bikes is not correct jetting wise and it would be good to get a fairly accurate base to start with from you gentlemen.

Sorry John , I can't help , mine had been done by the previous owner . I am yet to pull the carbs off .

Mine is standard jetting and is smooth and sweet now
Maybe you have a manifold or exhaust leak.
They are usually the main cause for popping and backfiring.
When I removed all the SAS gear, it stopped which leads me to believe it was a leak more than anything else.

Been tidying up the cockpit a little, cabling, wiring etc....looking a bit better now :D
Im finally getting used to the KTM bend bars so I dont think Ill be changing as I originally had planned.
