To be honest it's not that bad and it's likely a one off going on the stitching quality and to give the refund they are obviously trying to make amends, you've done a great job cause that does looks pretty good.

I wanted to ask you about the foam job, you shaved some off the seat to add more so when you did this did you make the rear part of the riders seat flatter to take out the slide forward to the tank affect??
Cheers Baz.

Yep he has been most apologetic and offered to refund some of the purchase price. Then I had a bit of fun trying to get more out of him. :imaposer:

I did lower and flatten out the rear part, its even a bit concave, but I cant get the cover to sit on the foam without gluing it down. The cover sits about 10mm higher than the foam in the center rear most part.

First ride today to work and it feels a lot better. I can now sit flat footed where as I was on my toes before. Not sure if I will need to lower the pegs a bit, will know after a longer ride.

Quick update, I got my partial refund so all good. To be honest it looks OK on the bike if ya dont look too hard. A bit of dirt and ya cant see it.

Had a 1/2 decant ride, cpl of hundred ks and it feels great. Co pilot is very happy with hers as well. :yo:

I bought a Seat Concepts replacement seat for the GS Saturday, I was hoping it would be as good as the one I got for the F650GS I had which transformed the bikes comfort, but, alas this new seat is Shite with a capitol SHITE

Feels like I'm only half on the seat, like I can't sit all the way back, not very happy about this so it looks like I'll need to do some tweaking to get it right
Cheers Baz.

No unfortunately it's a foam and cover kit using the OEM pan, once fitted can't return it :problem:

I will see how it goes maybe I just need to get used to it.
Cheers Baz.
