The be-heading

Image

Man there is a lot of wiring to sort out and fit into that small space

Started out with a trial fit for no other reason than I wanted to see what it was going to look like!

Image

Definitely a few challenges in the wiring for this

Image

First challenge, ignition switch

Image

Second challenge, tip sensor and key antenna

Image

Third challenge ECU placement

Image

Fourth challenge, getting the harness to reach the instruments

Trying to get everything in the limited space NEATLY is difficult.
Particularly for the sake of maintenance later

Image

Key antenna and tip sensor seem to have found a home mounted high to the blinker stalk

Image

Image

So its coming along

Image

Another problem is the OEM blinkers, there is no way they can fit with the rally fairing :(
Will have to source some early model blinkers that are 20-30 mm shorter.

Image

So moving right along, mounted the sat nav

The ECU is still a problem so started mocking up some possibilities

ECU mount came out well so time for a try out

This solution will do until Aurora comes up with a more elegant solution.

Got the horn mounted, this may be temporary, see how it goes.

With the bulk done, Im just waiting for some bits and pieces not.
Blinkers are the big annoyance at the moment, the OEM ones wont fit and I was told some early model smaller ones may fit so ordered some.
I have a feeling they wont fit either now Ive got it more together and able to measure things up.

Fitted up one panel this evening, I must say, I hate fibreglass.
Drilling and fitting fibreglass really sucks.

What were you thinking about fuel wise Marc?
It has been the main headache for me riding one of these.
Everyone else has 30litres plus.
Great build thread BTW
