UHF Communicators

Post by Baiazid » Wed Sep 25, 2013 8:33 am

I bought 2 Unidens (78SX and 76SX).

I tried to avoid bluetooth connection to my helmet since 1 hour of broadcast and batteries are gone (in cardo scala rider).

Bought a wired harnes and had to adapt to my helmet: the original big connector was impossible to use (hard to push, hard to pull). Had to replace with some jack from jaycar:

Been using, Sena SMH10 and SR10 via Bluetooth to helmet.
Use bleutooth intercom and UHF constantly and Bluetooth music from phone and they last all day easily.
If yours only lasts an hour you may have a problem.

12 hours of constant usage.
Usually last a couple days of intermittent use.

You can also charge them on the go while still using them too.

That's is cool. I wish for 12hours.

To adapt my uniden cb radio to bluetooth I would need:

1. sena bluetooth headset adapter
2. sena thingy that connect cb radio with PTT and bluetooth interface
===
probably $300 worth of equipment

I will see how my wired interface works ... for the moment
