Saturday 15th August

Post by 1coolbanana » Thu Aug 13, 2015 8:13 pm

Heading out Saturday morning for a big loop run through Tarana, Mt Horrible, Sofala, Turon, Razorback, Crudine, Limekilns, Brewongle, Duckmaloi etc.

From Sydney NW will be about 650 k's.
Will need 400k's + fuel range.

Suitable for all, nothing hard, just long.
Its an awesome ride but long.

Meeting at MtVictoria servo at 8.00-8.15 for a 8.30 am depart.
Wont be any fuel or food until back at MtVic in the arvo at about 3.00 ish

Forecast is cool but dry, Mt Vic forecast is for zero in the morning

Be heading up the Bells Line from Kurmond around 7.10 am if anybody wants to meet up.

Should be a good day for it, hopefully I'll make it next time, heading up to do the Waratahs trail bike ride this weekend.

Cheers

G'day coolbanana. I'm interested in joining you. Though with a 2.5 hour commute to meet at Mt Vic I may arrive covered in ice.

I'm short of time this evening and was hoping to change the gearing on my DR650 to something more suited to the commute but am quickly running out of time. My other option is to bring another bike (S10) I have but its only got TKC70 tyres on it which I'm not too sure about off road on other than dirt roads. What are the roads/tracks your taking like? Otherwise I'll burn the candle tonight and change the sprockets on the DR

Hi mate
Easy 1200 route, no worries there at all.
Its all dirt roads so no need for the DR, in fact Im sure you will be MUCH better off on the S10.
Im sure Dave is taking his S10 as well.
So I reckon you can get some sleep
Ive sent you a PM

Excellent! I'll be on a blue Tenere then. See you at Mt Vic. I'll pm you my phone number in case anything comes up before I get there.
