Peterborough for the night.

Post by Boxa » Sat Nov 03, 2018 10:30 pm

Was time for a weekend away so wife and I went for a ride up to Peterborough for the night via some nice dirt roads.
Before we left I rang ahead and booked some accommodation just out of town, they had some old railway carriages that looked interesting and were cheap. Sounds OK.
We didnt plan a route just turned on the GPS and headed in the general direction, North. We crossed the main road a few times and stopped along the way to look at some stuff.

The windmills are pretty big when ya get up close.

Didnt take many pics on the way up. Heres the accommodation for the night. Not bad for $100 including breakfast.

We headed off pretty early taking a different set of roads to the ones we had the day before.

Plenty of wildlife up that way, we must have had 20 or more k's of this.

Thought we might as well have a look why they didnt want bikes in here.

The ride in started out just fine, wife doing a bit of videoing from the back then things started to get a bit serious, so the cam was turned off and 2 hands were needed to hang on for the last bit of the climb.

The view from the top was worth the ride up.

Stopped a few more times to have a look round then headed for home.

Beautiful country out there Dave. Your accommodation looks fantastic. There's few of those windmills around our way now and you're right, they're big.

Cheers
