Garmin nuvi 500

Has anyone had any experience with the Garmin nuvi 500?
It seems to be the baby brother of the zumo without all the bluetooth features and fancy gadgets.
I am thinking of buying one because when I need the GPS, I don't need MP3 and bluetooth and how to find a cafe for a latte :lol:

I wanted to know if you can download Shonky Maps to the unit.

Nearly 24months late.
I have a Nuvi 500 and its got shokymaps on it, still learning how to use it properly just got a RAM mount for the bike.
