Garmin Zumo GPS

Post by Redback » Sat Jan 12, 2019 8:08 am

Well for my first GPS I got the Garmin Zumo 396LMT-S Motorcycle GPS, I'm pretty excited about this and a little daunted about it too, Garmin GPSs are not cheap so I'm a bit worried I won't be able to use it to all it's potential.

Expect some question Mr Banana, I noticed you are a guru at this kinda stuff

For those that might be interested, I got it from Johnny Appleseed.

Time to read all the how too's
Cheers Baz.

Guru???
Far from it, I just fumble my way through it.
Garmin is the best and most versatile but has the worst interface, just a fact of life :?

Basecamp is your friend.
Steep learning curve but worth it.

GPS arrived today starting to have a look around it, looks pretty rugged and has all the mounting gear with it as well as a memory card, I'll probably need a bigger card once I start storing trips, downloading the User Manual as I type, I'll have a look through it to see what I can do and delve into the harder stuff as I learn.

At the moment we're struggling with putting in more than 1 waypoint, any ideas??
Cheers Baz.
