Mechanic suggestions

Postby DR Pikey » Sun Jan 19, 2014 10:23 am

Hi all,
Need some suggestions for a reputable mechanic for my DR650.
Having a few fueling gremlins which I have not been able to sort myself and it probably needs a bit of a check up anyway.
I'm in Marrickville in Sydney's inner west, so anything local would be awesome.
Cheers
Pikey

Phone call to Vince Strang in Inverell might be useful.

He'd probably be able to locate the matter - which could then be sorted by a local mechanic.

Hey Pikey, I take my DR to the guys at bikescape in Anandale
http://bikescape1-px.rtrk.com.au/ws/
They rent DR's for round oz tours and the mechanic Paul knows them inside and out. I am not sure on electrical gremlins if that's what it is but carby's etc he gets mine running pretty much perfectly every time!

Thanks for all the leads guys, I reckon I will go with bikescape, I have rented from them before, an they were really easy to deal with.
Re what fueling gremlins - not 100% but pretty sure it's carby's. Bike surges under constant throttle.

Mine was doing the same he found some worn bits (my tech speak) replaced them gave it a good clean and it has done pretty much 5000k's and not occured again (mine is the standard carby though)
