This year hopefully holds a few interesting adventures.

Simpson Desert Crossing- making the geographical centre of Australia.
Coast to Coast record breaking attempt on the mighty CT110.

A few overnighters here and there :thumb:
I never get lost... people are always telling me where to go!

G'day all,

I live down near Yass (NSW), but come from Tamworth (Moore Creek) and used to work in Barraba. I've decided to spend a week exploring some of the gravel roads and little places that I've either forgotten or never got to.

My plan is for four big days of riding, with a rest / maintenance day in the middle. I'll be riding a 690 with extra fuel range, and for these rides will be aiming for distance and a bit of sightseeing rather that battling minor fire trails / twin track.

It would be great is anyone from this forum (or elsewhere) wanted to join me on one or more of the days. I'll be staying with family in Kootingal, and each day will start and end there.

Currently looking at early April, prior to school holidays.

I'll post more details up later, but the following draft GPS tracks will give you an idea of the sort of thing I had in mind. The coast loop (via Armidale-Kempsey Rd) is one that I've always wanted to do, but may need to wait to another time.

Good to talk to you yesterday - your idea about approaching Coolah Tops from the north, and exiting through the private property to the south, sounds good - could then duck back to Coolah itself via Cassilis - then back up Pandora's Pass and on northward to Breeza, Piallaway, etc.

I'll put it in the GPS and have a look at the total kms and timings - need to keep the overall tally reasonable, but that should be OK.
