New Tent

Postby Redback » Sat Nov 03, 2018 9:23 am

It'a a Vango Pulsar 3 man tent and thought I'd show the new tent off with my first impressions of setting it up, I haven't used it yet so this is only a look see.

Setup
I like how easy it is to setup, no arguments which is amazing for a first setup, it has a door on each side and another inside to access the separate sleeping area which is put in separately on first setup after that it is left in when you pull down the tent, great idea I reckon.

Sleeping
There is more than enough room for 2 people in fact there's probably enough room for 3, it would be cosy though

Storage
The storage area is as big as the sleeping area, so heaps of room to keep all your gear dry and out of the elements.

Weight
At 3.6kg for the size of the tent is amazing.

Hey Baz, ive got a Vango as well. A Omega 350 I think, fantastic tent. I bought it for our trips to the GP on Philip Island.
Stands up to that weather when others are flapping in the wind.
My only complaint it they are built for colder conditions than we have here in summer and havnt got a lot of opening windows in the sleeping area so ya need to setup in the shade in Summer. But yep very sturdy, light and easy to put up.

Thanks mate good to know you're happy with your's, we are not summertime campers unless we are at altitude, not a fan of the heat and I have kept the el-cheapo tent if we do camp when it's hot.
Cheers Baz.

I've been looking at tents myself. There's so many to choose from that it gets confusing after a while. I'm thinking maybe a vango pulsar 200.

Hey Andrew, I looked at the 200 but decided on the 300 because of more comfortable, while I reckon 2 can fit in there, I reckon 1 person would be ideal, well unless you want to get friendlier with the other person  :mwink:

Storage looks good, similar to the 300.
Cheers Baz.

I tried to get one of those but I think they've stopped making them.
