Even with the sheepskin i get a sore bum after 2hrs or so

So today i put 10 mm gel and 15 mm soft foam in a 20 mm cut out in my seat

Started with

with a piece of clear tape to mark where i sit

I then took the side covers off and put a piece of tape on the airbox level with the one on the seat

Allowing me to transfer the mark onto the seat foam

Then i marked lines 12 cm back and 10 cm forward of that line over the whole width of the seat and cut out that section with a bread knife ( a bit messy )

Glueing in the gel then the foam with spray adhesive , restapling the cover and ending with

The line on the seat is a fold line as i did not fully remove the cover , have to test it next weekend .

About 40 min from go to whoa and $22

Great job :thumb:

Gel can really improve comfort.

Word of warning.
Dont park up in the summer sun if you can avoid it!
The gel absorbs the heat and stays super hot for ages.

Was the major grievance I had with my gel seat, shit it got so hot and stayed that way for ages that I had to stand up for the first 5 k's before you could sit on it :surprised:

Nice work Laurie. I agree with Marc, the gel will get hot in the sun. The gel seat on the Multi will burn you if you forget about it.

Cheers

Should work a treat. I have a sheepskin on mine and it gives me no problems.
