DR650 rear 17" Ultra Heavy Duty tube

Post by Allmech » Wed Mar 21, 2012 9:41 am

can anyone tell me who makes a 17" ultra heavy duty tube (for a DR650)? The usual people (Michelin, Bridgestone etc) seem to only list 18" and up. I've found one 17" so-called Ultra Heavy Duty tube but it's only 2.8mm thick!!! I was hoping for 4mm.

Thanks

Hi. I'm pretty sure Maxxis and Vee Rubber make 17" ultra heavy duty tubes.

Thanks Matt, I'll check those out. If I find any alternatives then i will post them on this thread too.

I'm running a 18 inch ultra heavy duty tube in my 17 inch wheel and it seems to be fine, I think plenty of blokes are doing this. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Hope this helps.
Cheers.
