Larger footpegs which aren't of the diamond studded variety

Does anyone have ideas for a cheaper alternative to $300 footpeg upgrades.
I'm tired of seeing prices for these items in the Harley & KTM price range

Ballards make a footpeg widener. Fits to your stock footpegs.
Cheap as chips, but I have no idea if they are any good or not.

Thanks Whitey. Since my post, I've found a local bike with the "ballard pegs" welded on. The owner has had them for several years. They were about $15 a pair when he purchased them, found them on Ballards site on "special" currently for $25.

These pegs are now fitted to the 990, and I'm think seriously of modding them again to make them wider

Thanks for the info, now off to see my mate at the local machine shop to scrounge some stainless

I may as well build two sets while I'm on the production line. Just completed some pannier racks for the DR I began fabricating 6 months ago

Measured the DR's pegs & they're the same as the XTZ. No wonder I don't stand as much as I do when on the WR

After a bit of chasing around I managed to find a piece, 55mm x 1150 mm x 3mm & a couple of S/S rods thrown in too. A good Friday arvos scrounging.

So, off to Toowoomba Swap Meet at sparrow fart in the morning to see what's available there
