Re: The desert on a DR650, KLX400, Tiger 800 and an old Tene

Hey Dave, What tyre was your mate Chad running? Cheers Gus Pirelli MT-21. We have all used these in the past but we believe the tyre should have been "run in" for a day or so rather than give it heaps from brand new. Not the tires fault it was the rider :D But I did have fun destroy...

Re: Confused green bike.. new to me klx400r

I changed the radiator hoses on the weekend and only got round to putting coolant in it last night. I took it of a short ride and all feels good. The new seat feels great, it shou...

Confused green bike.. new to me klx400r

So after selling the f800gs with close to 150,000km I've gone for half the motor. It's a klx400r which is the same as the drz400e, so it's got the fcr39 pumper carb, plastic tank and full adjustable suspension. The bike has spent most of it's life in a shed hidden from the guys wife as a project whi...

130000k's :thumb: - whats your oil change/ maintenance schedule. With the front end, apparently there is a suspension guru here in Newcastle that can update the front forks to fully adjustable (will find out who it is) Does the front touratech tank fit easily and plumb in ok ?? :ne_nau: Dea...

Re: chadams f800gs

Very nice mate! How do the front forks go now with wear on the slider bushings? I assume they'll wear a bit quicker but negligible? 130,000k's ! BMW should sponsor you! Funny thing is the cartridge has close to 280mm travel, seems like bmw went through the marzocchi parts bin. The inner tube...

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-c_APafzLJaM/Uj_dRGUQzCI/AAAAAAAABFA/Fs8uiXuJmtQ/s576/20130923_160625.jpg So after 4 years of ownership and 130,000km I decided the f800gs is a keeper. That meant changing a few items and adding some bits, basically I want a bit more weather protection as I commute...
